Do you know all those obnoxious photos with big captions, aka memes, that are all the rage on Facebook and Pinterest today? I found a cool iPhone app to make my own. I promise not to post a lot of these, but I couldn’t resist with this scene outside our front door this morning.
Five years ago, in what was probably the most viewed SuburbanDaddy post of all time, I wrote about a recall by Bumbo, a type child seat that we used with all the Things.
It seems Bumbo is still having recall troubles, with another recall issued today. I happen to think Bumbo is a pretty good product. But, like a lot of children’s products, it requires some extra care, supervision, and common sense.

Trekaroo?s growing community of families from all across the country have pitched in with their votes for the most kid-friendly stops in Washington D.C. Here?s the line up for 2009!
Because I have so much free time, I’ve taken on a new web project. It’s one of the reasons blog entries have been sparse the last few months. It’s called Kidburst and the idea is to help parents find local activities for their kids. Right now we’re mainly in Northern Virginia but hoping to expand to other places (maybe with your help). Check it out and let me know what you think.
The results are in and I’m a runner up in the very prestigious Nickelodeon Parents Pick for Best Washington, DC Blog.
Congratulations to A Parent in Silver Spring. They didn’t post the final vote counts. My lawyers are looking into a possible recount.
Thanks to everyone who voted for Suburban Daddy. Maybe if you had voted every day like I asked…
