SuburbanDaddy - I’m a daddy, and yes, I live in the suburbs. Northern Virginia to be exact. I have three small boys (two aged 3 and 18 months at the time I started this blog). I was tired of all the mom-focused information sources on parenting. So I thought I would add to the blogosphere with thoughts, experiences, stories, and information from a dad’s point of view. To contact me send email to daddy_at_suburbandaddy.com, or leave a comment somewhere. I love getting comments and read every single one. Keep reading to find out more about Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3 |

Thing 1 is the oldest (b. Nov 2003). He’s very independent, which is another way to say he is stubborn (which he gets from SuburbanMommy, of course, not me). He is usually well behaved except when he skips his nap, or when he isn’t the first one to put on his shoes. |

Thing 2 (b. June 2005) is the performer. He’s outgoing, likes constant attention, and is extremely verbal. Verbal is how we describe kids who don’t stop talking. Ever. Even when he’s by himself. Take a look at this video to see how much he likes being in front of the camera. |

Thing 3’s (b. June 2007) personality is starting to emerge. He is easy going and a fantastic sleeper. He was sleeping through the night for 12 hours since he was 2 months old. Yes, you read that right. We are very grateful. He has a big oral fixation, even for a baby, and will put anything and everything in his mouth. As a result he spits up often. Thing 3 is a people person. He likes to watch his brothers in action and gets upset that he can’t participate yet. |
