More Conversations With A 3 Year Old

June 24th, 2008 · 5 Comments

In a recent post, I tried to convey a typical conversation with Thing 2 while driving home from preschool. As promised, I put the daddy cam in my car one day, so you can see first hand.

It’s actually surprising how well the video came out, considering I was holding the camera with one and and driving with the other. Don’t try this at home.

The entire time I watched it I kept uttering “oh, please don’t crash.” Holding that camera up while driving had to be tough. You need to fashion some kind of in-car tripod or something. But great video though.

    Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy…..Daddy, Daddy….

How many times did he say that in 9 minutes?

That’s so awesome. O is for Octopus. You’re so right - everything is completely random. And you’re also right that they don’t pay attention to each other at all … until Thing 1 tries to correct Thing 2, then Thing 2 (rightfully) tells him to buzz off!!!

Please let us know the day he DOESN’T go potty at school - now THAT would truly be remarkable, don’t you think? Hee hee!!

I love it. The risk of crashing because you were filming was totally worth the reward of this video.

Ha! “Daddy, Daddy? Daddy, Daddy?” That was too cute. This is what I have to look forward to in a year or two. Suzi is already starting to walk after me and call “Mama… Mama…”

My Lil’bug will repeat the same thing over … and over … and over, until I repeat what she said back to her. If I don’t get it right she’ll keep on repeating herself.

You’re not the only one shooting while driving! Check out my post from yesterday! Yours is better because it’s video and it’s so steady. I posted only a couple of about a dozen many were blurry and/or off target.
